Cookie Policy

This policy explains cookies and similar technologies used with www.mbsfit.org.au, operated by MBS Fitness Initiative Inc. (ABN 99 419 382 883), and the choices available to visitors. Read it with our Privacy Policy.

1 What cookies do

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser. Websites can use them to remember choices, keep sessions working, protect forms and payments, or understand use of the site. Similar technologies include local storage and tracking pixels.

Some technologies may collect device or browser identifiers, an IP address, pages visited, approximate location, interactions and consent choices. This information can be personal information when it identifies or can reasonably be linked to a person. Cookies do not give us general access to the files on your device.

2 Essential website technologies

Our website uses Wix. Essential technologies support functions such as security, fraud prevention, page delivery, session management, forms and donation checkout. Necessary technical logs also help identify errors and protect the service.

Wix documents cookies such as XSRF-TOKEN for request protection, svSession and wixSession for core site functions, and SSR-caching for page delivery. These are examples of platform technologies, rather than a claim that every example is present during every visit. Additional security and payment technologies may be used by providers.

Essential technologies operate when needed to provide the site or a service you request. They cannot be switched off through optional cookie preferences, although your browser can block them. Blocking them may prevent forms, security checks or payments from working.

3 Optional technologies

Where enabled, optional preference technologies remember choices beyond those needed for the site to work. Optional analytics help us understand visits and improve pages. Optional marketing technologies measure campaign responses or support advertising. Embedded media may also use technologies belonging to its provider.

We ask for your choice before using optional cookies or similar tracking on this website. Optional categories remain off unless you accept them. You can reject optional categories and still use the site's essential functions. Declining a category may prevent a particular optional feature, such as an embedded video, from loading.

We do not send private health information or children's registration details to advertising tools. Optional cookie acceptance is not consent to receive newsletters or fundraising messages.

4 Choosing and changing your preferences

Use the cookie banner or the Cookie settings control to accept, reject or manage optional categories. You can reopen Cookie settings to change your choice. Closing a banner or continuing to browse is not treated as agreement to optional tracking.

Preferences normally apply to the browser and device on which you set them. A different device, browser or private-browsing session may require a new choice. Withdrawing consent stops future optional tracking controlled by that setting; it does not automatically remove information already lawfully collected.

You can also use your browser settings to view, block or delete cookies and site storage. Deleting cookies may clear your saved preferences. If you cannot locate the cookie controls, contact us for help. Browser privacy settings do not replace consent choices you make for a separate third-party service.

5 Providers and third party services

Wix and providers supporting hosting, security, forms and payments may place or read cookies relevant to their services. When you use a payment option or leave our site through an external link, that provider's privacy and cookie information also applies to its own service.

If optional third-party content is enabled on our pages, it must follow the relevant consent choice. Our consent controls do not govern tracking on a separate website you choose to visit. We remain responsible for our own decisions about which services we integrate.

For platform information, see Cookies and Your Wix Site and Wix's Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy explains personal information handling, overseas processing and your access and complaint rights.

6 How long information stays

Session cookies usually expire when a browser session ends. Persistent cookies remain for a set period or until removed. Some platform records, such as security logs and consent records, are held separately from the cookie itself.

Duration varies by provider, purpose, configuration and your choices. Wix's published examples range from session-only cookies to persistent cookies lasting up to 12 months; other services may use different periods. Current cookie details, where supplied by the consent tool, and provider notices should be read alongside this policy. We do not assume that all analytics information disappears when a session ends.

7 Updates and contact

We review this policy when website features or data practices change and publish the revised date. Where a new use requires consent, we obtain that choice before using the technology.
