Active Schools Program

Encourage your students to participate in fitness activities to enhance their wellbeing and improve their academic performance.

Description

Welcome to the Active Schools Program, proudly delivered through the MBS Fitness Initiative. Our mission is to empower young people through inclusive, movement-based experiences that promote physical wellbeing, emotional resilience, and a sense of belonging.

We offer three engaging, school-friendly programs designed to suit students of all fitness levels and abilities:

BoxFit – Focus, Discipline & Confidence

Our BoxFit sessions combine boxing cardio work with bodyweight strength exercises in a fun, controlled environment. Students build strength, endurance, and focus while learning the value of self-control and discipline.

  • Great for: Upper Primary to High School students

  • No contact – safe, skill-based drills only

  • Gloves and gear provided

Bootcamp – Teamwork Through Training

Our bootcamp sessions are circuit-based training. They consist of different stations that students rotate through, working on strength, agility, and balance.

  • Adaptable for all year levels

  • Ideal for PE sessions or school wellbeing days

  • Focuses on collaboration, motivation, and confidence

AdaptFit – Inclusive Fitness for All Abilities

Designed to support students with disabilities or additional needs, AdaptFit sessions are tailored to each group’s physical and emotional capacity. We promote movement in a safe, low-pressure space that builds mobility, social interaction, and self-esteem.

  • Delivered by NDIS-registered coach

  • Accessible for students with physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges

  • Works in collaboration with teachers and support staff

We bring the program to your school, or you can attend sessions at Bridgewater PCYC.

Sessions can be:

  • One-off incursions

  • Weekly programs (4–10 week blocks)

  • Customised to fit your schedule or PE curriculum

Affordable & Subsidised Access

The Active Schools Program is part of the MBS Fitness Initiative, supported by an NDIS-registered business and community partnerships.

  • Subsidies may be available for schools with limited budgets

Let’s work together to remove barriers to movement and make fitness accessible to all students.

Principles

Safety: Your children's safety is our top priority. We take all necessary measures to ensure that your children exercise in a safe environment. The training includes non-contact exercises and boxing techniques strictly practised in the gym under controlled conditions.

Respect: Creating a supportive and inclusive environment by valuing the opinions, feelings, and rights of all people and treating them with dignity and respect in all interactions and communications in and outside class.

Discipline: Understanding and practising the core principles of discipline, including self-control, consistency, and accountability, as well as striving for excellence and setting high expectations, is crucial for personal development.

Persistence: Engaging in the sport of boxing enables children to push themselves beyond their perceived limits, discovering newfound strengths and skills they never knew they possessed.
